Mike Mount MA BSc
Senior Consultant
Mike joined Needhams following a successful 20-year career in investment management as Director of Intermediary Solutions with JM Finn and prior to this with Barclays Wealth. Before pursuing a career in investment Mike served with the 10th Gurkha Rifles commanding the battalion reconnaissance unit during a tour with the British Airborne Brigade and leading an international UN team in Abkhazia in the former Soviet Georgia. This intensely practical background of financial experience and decision making under pressure is augmented by academic studies at the London School of Economics (BSc) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (MA).
Mike has developed and delivers the Needhams 1834 ESG services based primarily on environmental risk awareness. The proposition focuses on education, training and advice with regard to the physical and transition risks posed by climate change and the shift to a low carbon economy. This is linked to the importance of ensuring organisational resilience through the adoption of a long-term Net-Zero strategy that will complement an existing Risk Management proposition.
